Fertilizing marijuana is about the same as any plant. There are certain types that are better for starting plants as well as feeding for growing or flowering plants.
Fertilizer is basically labeled with 3 numbers like (10-10-10 or 12-12-12) These numbers represent Nitrogen, Potassium and Potash. The first number is Nitrogen content, the second number is Potassium and the last is Potash content. You can get water soluble, liquid or dry granular fertilizer although liquid and water soluble are more for inside and granular is more for growing outside.
When plants are in their seedling stage you have to be careful and not give them to strong a dose, when they are growing we want to give them fertilizers with higher nitrogen levels and when they are flowering you want to give them more Potassium and potash to feed the flowers.
